Helping manage risk in public and private sectors for the protection of cities and critical infrastructure
MARSS is pleased to announce their attendance at the World Defense Show (WDS) in Riyadh on the 6-9th of March. MARSS will be showcasing a variety of capabilities including NiDAR CUAS in a C2 and expeditionary C2 set up, RADiRGUARD, and a new product launch, aimed at the CUAS market.
Live from the inaugural World Defense Show in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia today, defence & security technology specialist MARSS, launched its latest, never seen before, UAS countermeasure.
MARSS is pleased to announce they will be attending and sponsoring the Maritime Reconnaissance and Surveillance Technology Conference in Arlington, VA on May 5-6th. As the Gold Sponsor for the event, MARSS will showcase their range of defense and security capabilities.
A big MARSSian welcome to Jeff Tipton, who was recently appointed as Business Development Director in Defense. Based in Arizona, Jeff brings over 30 years’ international practice in strategy, business development, training, and combat military experience to Team MARSS.
Johannes Pinl, CEO and Founder of defense & security technology company MARSS, explains how he grew the company from an idea as a university student into a rapidly expanding, cutting-edge high-tech defense company.
RAPIDLY DEPLOYABLE UNMANNED REMOTE SENSORS AND COUNTERMEASURES
A highly mobile and flexible solution, NiDAR X-SCOUT is a easy deployable CAUS system that has been built around the flatbed of a Land Cruiser – one of the smallest pickup trucks that is widely used across the Middle East.
Transported by such pick-up truck or similar military vehicles (Humvee or JLTV or even air-dropped), it can be dropped at any location and be operational as a stand-alone unit remotely controlled for a week and more.
Despite its small form factor, X-SCOUT retains all the functionality of MARSS’s NiDAR Expeditionary CUAS systems, leveraging MARSS’ proprietary hybrid intelligence software and interface that fuses multiple sensors to detect, classify and neutralise threats quickly and accurately.
Some of its key features include cutting-edge cameras, radar and radio frequency (RF) detection capable of detecting a CAT2 UAS from over 15km away. RF jamming capabilities and a wide range of counter UAS effectors, including MARSS’ Short-Range and Medium Range Interceptors neutralise the hostile UAV with multiple countermeasures, controlled from remote or autonomously.
Frederik Giepmans, Managing Director at MARSS Safety & Security, commented: “X-SCOUT is a rapidly deployable Counter UAS expeditionary system. We listened to the needs of our customers who wanted a rapid deployable solution operating completely autonomously (no local operator required) meshed into a network of other sensor stations with the same performance of the rest of our NiDAR CUAS capabilities. An operator with minimal training can get X-SCOUT deployed remotely under five minutes.”
As the latest addition to MARSS’s NiDAR X product range, X-SCOUT joins an advanced range of flexible, mobile defence and surveillance solutions that includes the containerised X-JOC command-and-control centre, on display at DSEI. Like its sister models, the easy-to-use, easy-to-move X-SCOUT can either operate independently as a standalone unit providing counter UAS surveillance, or as part of a mesh network, interfacing with a command-and-control centre to provide additional coverage.
Frederik Giepmans adds: “As a highly adaptable, flexible solution, X-SCOUT is able to support a variety of customer requirements. It can be used in forward operations, on the battlefield, or in a public space to offer complete protection against UAS. X-SCOUT is not only compact, but it’s cost efficient, modular, giving you everything you need, and nothing you don’t.”
